Mr. Sherck was born in Fremont, Ohio, and had been a winter resident of The Villages since 2007. He was retired from television broadcasting and marketing with WJIM in Lansing, Mich., and WOAG in Canton, Ohio; was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake; enjoyed playing golf and bridge; was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, was involved in alumni activities; a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity; and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Edyth; daughters Karen S. Brody, Waterford, Mich., Linda S. Rainey, Durham, N.C; brother, David, Asheville, N.C; sister, Suzanne Zuhars, Louisville, Ky; and five grandchildren.
