University Park Birder: A Ramble Along Memory Lane
May 29, 2014
This is a brand new effort for me. I will be posting reminiscences of my family, philosophy, musings on my hobbies, a bit about my genealogy roots and other topics as they come to mind. here and eventually to my site on Hostgator. In short this will be a ramble along memory lane
The title of this initial post gives an idea about where I will go with these reminiscences. I currently live in the University Park neighborhood of the City and County of Denver. Among my retiree activities is that of birding or bird watching. Bird watching has been a part of my life, going back to the time as a child in Portland, Oregon. Birds and bird observation were a casual part of my early life but became a serious hobby/avocation after I retired. The Audubon Society of Greater Denver has provided the chance to develop my birding skills and to put them into practice.
The ramble along memory lane will not be a linear excursion, but indeed a wandering one. Sometimes looking at the present, sometimes to the future and certainly recalling the past as I remember it. There will be time when stuff I post here will disagree with memories held by my siblings — we each experienced the common events from our perspective and location in life at the time the events occurred. By writing about them, I hope to encourage cousins, brother and sister to add their thoughts about any give event.
So there we are. Please do join me in these ramblings.
