The number of families in this generation is getting quite large as one might expect since we are now dealing with offspring of the children and grand-children of the original Delaware/Maryland Anderson families. The families I will follow in this part of the history are the children of John Anderson and Elizabeth Horney. The oldest child Esther Anderson and her husband James Horney had seven children, two of whom I know married and had children of their own: William Horney and John Horney. These two boys appear to have married sisters, William married Catherine Thomas in the fall of 1825, John married Elizabeth Thomas in the spring of 1825. So far as I have been able to determine each couple had one child

Lydia Anderson, the second child and her husband Paris Horney had five children: Deborah; Anderson; Rhoda; Esther and Parris. So far as I have been able to determine, only Rhoda married (John Coppas about 1820) and she had no children of which I am aware

As indicated in the previous generation notes, the third child John Horney Anderson married Hannah Painter. John Horney and Hannah had six children, David and Martha are chronicled here. I have no information other than name for Levi Anderson, and only birth dates and place for the three youngest children of this couple: Elizabeth; Jesse and John Horney. David married Lucinda Oglesbee in 1828 and they had six children. Martha married John Fenner before 1831 and they had five children

Rhoda Anderson, the fourth child and her husband William Horney had seven children, only two of whom I have additional information about: Lydia married Bowen Babb in 1829 and Mary Ann. Mary Ann married John Coyner in 1844, they had two children.

John Anderson and Elizabeth Horney’s youngest son and fifth child, James married Priscilla Coffin and they had eight children. This last family is our direct line

To keep this focused on our descent lineage I will only develop brief stories about the children of James and Priscilla. Should any reader have a story or want to write about the other families included on this page, please send them to me so that I may add them to the family.
